The Royal Norwegian Embassy is pleased to announce the opening of Visa Application Centre in Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Donetsk. This service is available for Ukrainian residents/other country nationals legally residing in Ukraine who wish to apply for a Schengen visa and Long stay visa to Norway. This site provides with details related to your application submission and collection process along with other useful information you need to know.

Norway also represent Iceland in Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens visiting Iceland should also apply at our centers

Applicants who wish to apply for a visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents accurately and will reduce the risks of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.

The visa applications are to be submitted at the Norwegian Visa Application Centre in Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv & Donetsk accordance with the Jurisdiction specified. All applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Norway, located in Kyiv. The applications must be submitted either by the applicant in person or by representative on the behalf of the applicant. i.e. should not be sent by post.

All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be sent to the Embassy of Norway in Kyiv for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by the Embassy.

Please Note:
In order to receive a SCHENGEN-visa from the Embassy of Norway in Kyiv your main destination must be NORWAY or the longest part of your stay must be within Norway. If you plan to visit several Schengen countries and the duration of the say in those countries are the same, the first entry must be through Norway.
 
VISA APPLYING PROCESS
Step 1 : You can apply for Schengen visa, stay in Norway for 90 days or less, or for a Residence Permit, you can apply at Norwegian Visa Application Centre.
Step 2 : Visa applicants who wish to apply for a Schengen and Resident Permits & Entry visas are requested to fill in the application form online using the secure Application Portal before submitting their supporting documents at the Norwegian Visa Application Centre. If you reside in Ukraine but are a citizen of another country, you must in general have had a work or residence permit in Ukraine for the past six months before you submit the application.

Those who register their applications online using the Application Portal prior to showing up at the Norwegian Visa Application Centre must pay the handling fee online using a credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa).It is also possible for the sponsor in Norway to complete all, or part of the online process for the applicant (e.g. log on and pay the application fee).

Applicants, who have not registered their applications online prior to showing up at the Norwegian Visa Application Centre, may register their applications online at the Visa Application Centre using designated kiosks. Please make sure you have relevant information to register yourself online. All applications for residence permits will be forwarded by the Embassy in Kiev to the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) in Norway for consideration. The applicant has to stay in Ukraine until the permit has been granted by UDI.
Step 3 : Submit your passport along with required supporting documents. The relevant checklists can be found under each category on this website under ‘ALL ABOUT YOUR VISAS’.
Step 4 : Submission Officer will advise you on total payable amount for VFS service and Optional fee and guide you to the bank cashier where you need to pay in local currency (Hryvnia). Receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

Please Note:
At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to:
  1. ) Subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport.
  2. ) Subscribe for SMS Service where Visa Application Centre sends application status on applicant’s mobile and via email.
 
TRACK YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE
After submission of documents at the Visa Application Centre, you can also check status of your application online by simply providing the unique VAC Reference Number and your Date of Birth. VAC reference number (starts with xxxx, xxxx, xxxx or xxxx) can be found on the Invoice-Cum-Receipt provided by the Submission Officer at the application centre at the time of submission.
